Taillight Dives into VR with My Country Nation & Coca Cola for Share a Coke and a Song

When it came time for Taillight to present our clients, My Country Nation and  Saatchi & Saatchi X with an innovative idea for the 2016 Share a Coke and a Song campaign, the creative team at My Country Nation took the leap into the world of VR. Working with Country Superstar Kelsea Ballerini, we had an opportunity to capture content to kick-off the digital campaign  in a memorable way. Riding a wave of success with her current single titled, "Peter Pan", Kelsea took center stage for an in-the-round style 360 video that was shot in Nashville, Tennessee in Ronnie's Room at Blackriver Recording Studios. The timeline from production to delivery was very fast, and the team made that possible using a 6 camera GoPro mount, capturing 4K video and stitching the content using AutoPano Video and AutoPano Giga software.  The studio environment was completely used to virtually embed the song's lyrics on a back wall, and to incorporate brand elements on both the floor and in the background. 

VR works great on mobile phones and tablets through the native Youtube app, as well as on select desktop browsers (Safari currently does not support 360 Content). Take a look at the video below, and make sure to look all around!
